A  TOAST!!!

        

 I've been doodling since I was 2 years old.  My first grade teacher sent me home with a note that read

"John needs to stop doodling and pay attention in class"

The words "stop doodling" were underlined so hard

that it ripped the paper that this note was on!

I have this note framed and hanging in my studio.

Throughout his career, Conroy has also won many other awards for his art from various art festivals and competitions throughout the United States (best in category @ California Strawberry Festival, Oxnard, CA, Indian Wells Art Festival, Ca., Tapestry In Talent, San Jose, Ca., Southwest Arts Festival, Indio, Ca., Art in the Park (Boulder City, NV.),  Fiesta De Las Artes Hermosa Beach, Ca., and many more).  

 

Conroy’s designs have also been utilized by Paramount, CBS, ABC, NBC and Universal Studios (from the “Bob Newhart Show” to “Melrose Place” among others), recently featured in the Disney animated film "Rescue Rangers" in 2022, featured in SEVENTEEN Magazine, exclusively sold in Dillard’s, licensed on pillows by PillowDecor, cat & dog dishes by Classic Products and sold in small boutiques around the world. He is a member of the American Craft Council & featured in the exclusive HANDMADE GALLERIES in Sherman Oaks, CA.

Madi also recently earned his Phlebotomy Certificate and is now a licensed Vampire.  

 

          



 Conroy was raised in Wisconsin. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in art at the University of Wisconsin, Madison with further studies at UCLA. Conroy has been employed as a graphic designer by various firms such as the Miami Herald, Village Mews, Camp Beverly Hills and a host of many other independent projects. He started his own independent design firm in Venice Beach, CA in the mid 90’s and has been a self employed Artist since then.

Conroy unveiled his collection at the SURTEX SHOW at the Javits Center in New York City to great international success and contracts which placed his designs into the global marketplace.
